I was speaking with Robin-san the other day, you see, and she suggested that the key to unlocking Hamtaro's memories is in the other town... [ Which is sensible enough given that they did kind of throw in a bunch of random items and got a kid in return. ] ... So I thought it might be a good idea to take him with on one of the trips there, to see if perhaps we can find something to jog his memory...
[ That part's simple enough. It's not hard to guess why he's not looking to send a kid into that hot mess alone. ]
[It's been a while since she's moved into the house with Bunnaby and Kotetsu. Anya's been psyching herself up to tell Kotetsu, and she's gathered Bunnaby to go with her. She almost walks into the room...but then she looks back.]
[Barnaby's not used to keeping secrets from Kotetsu, not now that they trusted one another enough to talk about things openly. So it's been something of a strange experience to keep Anya's secret hidden from him -- it's a big one, at that, but he promised her he would keep it, and not even his partner is more important than upholding that promise. When she's ready, she'll talk.
When she hesitates outside the room, he can understand her nervous, but Barnaby just smiles kindly at her, keeping his voice down.]
Kotetsu's kept some big secrets of his own in the past, you know. When you tell him, I think he'll know exactly how you feel.
